J.J. Harvest has been with the Task Force for 10 years, starting first in security, then casework. He researches and finds transitional housing for clients and assists with their adjustment to new living arrangements. “Many of these clients are used to living in large groups,” Harvest said. “To be able to find housing such as a two-bedroom apartment can be much more comfortable, but can still take some adjustment in terms of maintenance, cooking and cleaning.” Once homeless himself, Harvest said, “There is still a way to come out of homelessness, regardless to how you got there. I needed help when I was homeless, and that’s why my work at the Task Force is so important to me, to be able to help others now.”
